The thrills of being a vet
Gustavo Pinto and Sasha Pinto commemorated World Veterinary Day by organising a trip to Dog Temple, a haven for dogs on the Mandrem-Arambol border. The general public and children were given an opportunity to share the joys of being a vet on this day. Over 30 children accompanied by their parents were present.
Dog Temple was conceptualised out of a desire to lavish love and affection towards stray dogs and provide them with basic necessities and a home. The initiative is run by Neeru and assisted by Michael, Silke and Ingo. At Dog Temple, dogs are given the freedom to live happy lives.
Director of education at Mission Rabies, Murugan Appupillai delivered an informative lecture on Rabies and answered the queries of the children. Sasha Pinto delivered a talk on vaccination. The programme was successful. Activities such as games and competitions were held.
