The match had just crossed two minutes when Sesa opened their tally through Joston Pereira as Stephen Colaco found him with a low cross where the midfield brilliantly tapped the ball home from close to take his side into the lead.
Sesa forward Olvin Cardozo doubled their lead in the 7th minute when Caitano Viegas made a perfect low cross to him from the right flank where the lad calmly finished the ball at the far post from just inside the box to make it 2-0 for his side.
A minute later, they almost found their third goal when Stephen made a beautiful through pass to Caitano in the box but the winger saw his goal-bound shot blocked by Goa Velha keeper Soma Korgaonkar.
However, in the very next minute, Stephen himself made it 3-0 as their skipper Anil Chawan brilliantly dribbled past two defenders in the box and found the midfielder with a cut-back pass, who quickly tapped the ball in the back of the nylons from the 6-yards. They had another chance to inflate their lead in the 10th minute but Joston saw his curling shot from the edge of the box rebound off the post.
Goa Velha, who conceded three early goals, changed their strategy to completely offside the trap and restricted the furious opponents for next 25 minutes which was finally broken by the Academy boys in the 35th minute when Anil made a defence-splitting through pass to Ashley Cardozo who covered some ground and found unmarked Olvin who completed his brace with an ace.
Sesa continued their goal fest in the second session and further inflated their lead within seven minutes after crossing over as this time Joston’s curling cross was brilliantly headed in by Malvin Lobo from the goalmouth to make it 5-0.
At the hour mark, Sesa’s tricky midfielder Ashley had a chance to register his name in the score sheet but the lad’s attempt after getting a through pass from Olvin, hit the crossbar and went out for a goal-kick.
However, in the very next minute, Sesa found their half dozen mark as Olvin’s powerful shot off Stephen through pass was divingly blocked by Goa Velha keeper Soma but well-placed Joston easily slotted the loose ball in from 6-yards.
At the other end, the Ilhas side created their first potent attack in the 79th minute as Lakesh Gawas set up Jose Fernandes with just Sesa keeper Sapam N at the stake but the forward failed to keep his shot on target from close.
Sesa substitute striker Laishram Meitei, who replaced Olvin, hammered the final nail in Goa Velha’s coffin in the 86th minute when Anil nicely gelled with Ashley who set up the defender with just keeper to beat but he unselfishly passed the ball to well positioned Laishram who put the ball in the empty net to make it 7-0 for his side.
