Mapusa bypoll: Vijai prefers to wait and watch
MAPUSA: Goa Forward Party leader and Town and Country Planning Minister Vijai Sardesai prefers to wait and watch with regard to the Mapusa bypoll.
On being asked a question on the sidelines of a function in Mapusa on Wednesday, Sardesai said, “I have expressed my personal views and now let’s wait for the BJP to decide. These days there is a style to wait for the election to be declared. Nobody says anything beforehand. It’s the same for Congress and BJP. They have a system, so let them declare their candidates and then we will see.”
When asked whether the Goa Forward Party would like to increase its seat tally in Bardez, Sardessai said, “As (Michael) Lobo has said, certainly we have to go forward. We have not won the seats just like that; we have been victorious with the support of our friends and others.”
