Instagram to conceal likes
It is exciting to see when your post receives likes on Instagram. However, as part of a limited test aimed at promoting the well-being of the users, the Facebook-owned company is looking at hiding the count from the audience.
Serial tipster and reverse engineering expert, Jane Manchun Wong, who first spotted the design change test, shared a screenshot of her Instagram post on which only one person who liked the post was shown.Instagram describes the feature as one aimed at followers to focus on what one shares, not how many likes a post gets. Only the person who shares the post will be able to see the total number of likes.
