Hoddar man held for assaulting mother-in-law

CURCHOREM: Vasudev Naik (61) was arrested by Curchorem police for allegedly assaulting his mother-in-law Sunita Naik Sanvordekar (75), on Sunday. 

The PSI of Curchorem police station Girendra Naik informed that the victim Sunita, residing at Kapxem, Panchawadi had gone to Hoddar at her son-in-law’s place.

Following some arguments that took place between the two, the accused lifted her and dumping her on the floor thereby causing her head injuries, informed the PSI.

Following a complaint from the victim’s son Ramchandra Naik Sanvordekar, the Curchorem police arrested the accused under sections 325 and 504 of the IPC.

The victim was shifted to CHC, Curchorem and from there she was taken to Hospicio Hospital, Margao and then to Goa Medical College and Hospital (GMC) Bambolim, where she is being treated at the ICU.
