Director, MBA executive programme, Nirmala R said the programme has been designed for working professionals in Goa. She said: “The criterion for the course is graduation and one should have at least two years of working experience so that they have a better perspective about the course. I am happy to know that three of the candidates in this first batch have twenty years of experience.”

The course is in the evening from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Goa University department of management studies and commerce. Nirmala further says that while other courses are working as semester system, “this course will have three semesters. This means shorter terms, more courses of shorter duration (1 credit =15 hours. Courses planned as two credits each). Many other departments have courses of 4 credits,” she adds.

About the faculty, she says that senior faculty from the industry and the four participating departments (management studies, commerce, economics and computer science) will be chosen to teach.

The course will cover diverse areas-Marketing/Finance/HR/Tourism/IT, etc, depending on the number of students and their interests.
