Grand launch of the BMW Turismo

BMW has launched its first ever 6-series Gran Turismo in diesel variant this month. Known for its long wheel base, air suspension for comfort in driving and display key control, this new addition claims to bridge the gap between the 5 series sedan and the 7 series limo.

This model is available in two variants- Luxury Line and M Sport and is now available for bookings at the BMW showroom Bavaria Motors, Verna. According to sales officials at the dealership the Gran Turismo is expected to arrive by mid July. The diesel variant will be priced at Rs 66. 5 lakh (ex showroom) for the Luxury Line and Rs 73.7 lakh (ex showroom) for M Sport.

Coming to the differentiating features of the variants, the Luxury Line indulges style with elegant contours and luxurious features. It comes with chrome design elements on the exterior and fine-wood trim on the interior. Some of the other standard features the variant offers are four-zone climate control, gesture control and a 10.25-inch touch screen. While, the M Sport comes with sporty seats, a bigger 19-inch alloy wheels and head-up display. Powering the GT is a 3.0-litre motor that gives 258PS of power and 620Nm of torque.

Along with introduction of diesel variants, the current petrol variant of first-ever 6 Series Gran Turismo will now also be available in a new design trim from July 2018 onwards. The ongoing ex-showroom prices of the BMW 630i (Petrol) Gran Turismo is Rs 61.8 lakh (ex-showroom).
