Lifestyle shopping expo underway in Margao

MARGAO:  Big Discount Shopping Festival, the lifestyle shopping exhibition, is underway at SGPDA ground, Margao.  Stalls of  imported artificial flowers, office furniture, home furniture and handicrafts, SS Furniture, imported sofa sets, kitchenware, Sikha home products, Prestige, LED and solar lights, Panasonic TV and fridge models, Powermax Fitness equipment, Mobilia Furniture and kitchen cabinets, imported curtains and shower curtains, solar water heater, bean bags, Rainbow Electronics, invertors, Galaxy CCTV, Cello Plastic and Furniture, aluminum ladder, money counting machine, Italian blanket, ladies fashion and lot others are part of the exhibition. It is open for the public till April 14, from 10.30 am to 9 pm. NT

Vodafone Idea’s Rs 25,000 crore rights issue opens today

MUMBAI: Vodafone Idea Ltd, the leading mobile telecommunications provider, will open on April 10 its rights issue sized at approximately around Rs 25,000 crore – the largest ever in the history of corporate India and its telecom sector. The rights issue of Vodafone Idea comprises 1,999.98 crore equity shares of face value of Rs 10 each for cash a price of Rs 12.50 (net asset value expected to Rs 31.16 post rights issue) aggregating to Rs 24,997.9 crore to eligible equity shareholders on a rights basis in the ratio of 87 rights equity shares for every 38 equity shares held by them on the record date (record date – April 2). The rights issue will open on April 10 and will close on April 24. NT

LTI-VJTI’s IIoT labs develop multiple disruptive innovations

MUMBAI: Larsen & Toubro Infotech Ltd, a global technology consulting and digital solutions company and India’s leading engineering institute, Veermata Jijabai Technological Institute (VJTI), showcased the projects implemented by the alliance’s unique IIoT test bed, which was launched three years ago as a part of LTI’s CSR focus to support education of students from marginalised backgrounds. The state-of-the-art lab established at VJTI Mumbai focuses on technologies such as artificial intelligence, machine learning, IoT, deep learning, cyber security to solve for society.  With the setting up of the IIoT lab, the LTI-VJTI tie-up aims to enhance awareness and generate interest in putting into use advanced and emerging technologies for solving social problems.  NT

HDFC Bank voted No 1 in trade finance

PANAJI: HDFC Bank has been ranked No 1 by the Euromoney Trade Finance Survey 2019 in two categories including Best Service (Asian Bank) and Market Leaders (Asian Bank). More than 7,000 corporates and treasury professionals from across 89 countries voted in the Euromoney Trade Finance Survey 2019. The survey ran for a period of 7 weeks from September 2018 to October 2018.

HDFC Bank won the top ranking based on the following parameters – a service provider with the greatest market share globally, by region and by country, thus marking the bank a market Leader, and having received top assessments globally, by region and by country, within several categories and provisions of service, the bank was adjudged for best service award.  “It is a moment of great pride for all of us at HDFC Bank.
