Eat, drink, and be merry!


‘The Grape Escapade’, a four day food and lifestyle festival was inaugurated on February 28 at the hands of Minister for Tourism and Sports, Manohar Babu Azgaonkar at DB Bandodkar Grounds, Panaji.

Speaking on the occasion, Azgaonkar said: “We are trying to highlight Goan culture through this festival. We want to reach out to the world and showcase our tradition, culture, and rich heritage. I pray and appeal to people to support the festival in full swing.”

“As there will be series of the festivals taking place in the state over the next few days, I wish to let people know that Goa can be the best festival destination. Let the message go out to the world that Goa hosts grand occasions in a traditional manner,” added Azgaonkar.

The inaugural was then followed by performance of ‘Shine On Duo’- Sidney N Silvina, dance performance by ‘Darryl and Troupe’ and live band by ‘Raul with Raagas 2 Riches’.

The festival will showcase 40 international, national and local wineries like Sula Vineyards, Grover Zampa Vineyards, Big Banyan Wines, Ocean King Distillers, Tonia Wines, Good Drop Wines, Santanse Wines, Pomar de Frutas, Fratelli Wines, Indus Wines and others.

Guests can also sample from an array of delicacies from Goychi Chul, Bay 15, Yellow Chilli, Anandashram, Temptations, Sua Casa Restaurant, Hungry Hatz Grill, O’ Coqueiro & Tinge, Ripples Gastropub, Toro Toro and many other food outlets. A number of interesting music acts are also in the line up over the next few days.
