Dunes scalp UC Telaulim for second win

Duler: Dunes Sports Club continued their unbeaten run in the GFA First Division League as they came from a goal down to register a 2-1 win over United Club of Telaulim at Duler Stadium, here on Monday.

Ruflon Fernandes opened the tally for Telaulim in the early minutes, while Devendra Pednekar and Shashank Ashwekar scored in the second session to help Mandrem side to grab all three points.

With this win, Dunes climbed to the 6th position with 12 points from eight outings, whereas, Telauilm continued to struggle at the bottom of the table with just a point from eight matches.

Meanwhile, in the 16th minute of the match, Dunes SC keeper Alison Fernandes got seriously injured as he crashed into the side post while trying to make a save. But the absence of ambulance and doctor at the stadium delayed shifting of the player to the hospital. It was stadium manager Anthony Lobo who finally arranged a private vehicle to take the injured goalkeeper to the hospital.
