BJP manifesto promises, new bus stand, multi-level parking for Mapusa
Mapusa: The BJP released its manifesto for the Mapusa by-poll on Sunday. The manifesto was released at the hands of former chief minister Laxmikant Parsekar in the presence of former Tivim MLA Kiran Kandolkar, chairperson Ryan Braganza, Mapusa mandal president Damodar Lanjekar and councillors.
The manifesto lists a number of works which have been completed such as vegetable market, fish and meat market, renovation of old Asilo hospital, illumination of entry point of Mapusa town, construction of stalls in the market for the purpose of revenue generation, installation of highmast lamps.
As part of the assurance for the by-poll election, Joshua’s manifesto comprises of construction and commissioning of new bus stand, multilevel parking, eco-friendly waste treatment plant, Ravindra Bhawan, art museum and community hall, development of ring road from Khorlim bypass to Guirim highway bypass, redevelopment of Tar river front, redevelopment of Mapusa market, implementation of TCP scheme, augmentation of water supply.
Interacting with the media, BJP Mapusa candidate Joshua D’souza said that he has requested the people of Mapusa to continue their support and to vote him as the MLA of Mapusa.
He said, “I will try and complete all works which have been pending. We have to undertake sustained development keeping in mind the future needs of the town”.
MMC chairperson Ryan Braganza said that campaigning of around 80% of Mapusa has been completed. Senior councillor Sandip Falari said that the manifesto is a vision document which includes works completed and works to be taken up in the future.
