Big wins for Cortalim Gym, Goa United
CHICALIM: Cortalim Gymkhana thrashed Benfica Youth Club 8-1 in the Goa Football Association’s U-14 League match played at Chicalim ground, on Saturday.
Cortalim opened the scoring through Rohan, who went on to complete his hat-trick scoring in the 25th, 32nd and 46th minutes respectively.

At Betalbatim grounds: Betalbatim Sports Club scored a 2-0 win over CAC. At half-time the scoreboard read 0-0. Daniel Carvalho and Sam Dias scored a goal each in the 46th and 56th minutes respectively.
At Poriat football ground: Goa United Sports Academy scored a convincing 11-0 win over Penha de France. Rahul Xaxa opened the scoring for Goa United in the 6th minute and went on to score two more goals to complete his hat-trick. At Siolim ground: St Anthoy’s SC Marna and Football Club Goa played a 2-2 draw. Sarthak Naik and Hrishikesh Shirodkar scored for the Marna side in the 23rd and 26th minutes respectively however their joy was short lived as Shaviz Phatan and Salgao Dias scored a goal each for Football Club Goa to end it all square before full-time.
At Tembi ground, Anjuna: Condolim Sports Club scored a convincing 3-1 win over Anjuna Gymkhana. Veril Pereira, Uzam Khan and Aryan Salunke scored a goal each for the winners while the rivals managed to pull only one goal back through Taniel Pereira.
At Nagoa ground: Verna SA defeated Pax of Nagoa 3-0 as Akif Sayed, Eli Rego and Hyder Braganca being the goal scorers.
At Parra ground: Arpora Sporting Club edged past El Shaddai S&CC 1-0. Topon Minj scored the match-winning goal.
At Don Bosco ground, Panaji: Don Bosco Oratory humbled PYA Diwar 7-2. Joseph Cardozo opened the scoring for Don Bosco Oratory in the 5th minute while Shannen Palha netted the second goal in the 7th minute. Wraster D’Souza scored a brace for the home side, while Joseph Cardozo and Ruben Silveira scored a goal each before the first half to make it 6-0.
Post resumption, Sohan Bhombkar and Nihar Parsekar managed to pull two goals back for the Diwar side before Don Bosco’s Mihir Fari drove the final nail into the coffin to make it 7-2 at full-time.
